2.11, Responsible Use of Audiovisual Surveillance Technology
Policy Statement
Cornell University uses audiovisual surveillance technology in select public areas to enhance security for members of its community. Such technology must be used in a manner that balances this need for security with the reasonable expectations of members of its community of privacy and the freedoms of assembly and expression. Therefore, the university establishes a transparent process and controls for using audiovisual surveillance equipment and any resulting recorded material.
