6.4, Prohibited Discrimination, Protected Status (Including Sexual) Harassment, and Bias Activity
Policy Statement
Cornell University prohibits its faculty, staff, and students from engaging in any form of prohibited discrimination or protected status (including sexual) harassment, and expects these individuals also to refrain from committing acts of bias within the university’s jurisdiction. The university has processes, outlined in this policy, to provide redress and remediation to individuals who believe they have been the victims of these acts. Members of the university community who have relevant information must cooperate with the university’s investigations into prohibited discrimination, protected status harassment, or bias activity.
Note: With the exception of student employees, complaints brought against students may be covered under the Campus Code of Conduct and must be directed to the Judicial Administrator.
Entities Affected By This Policy
All units of the university. However, procedures for the Weill Cornell Medical College and Graduate School of Medical Sciences are not part of this document.
